## 映画用の録音では、サックスのソロを三つ重ねた

「Fight the Power」は、Spike Leeの映画『Do the Right Thing』（1989年）のために作られた。映画用の版と、1990年の『Fear of a Black Planet』収録版は区別しておきたい。

Branford Marsalisは2014年の取材で、Hank Shockleeの指示により異なるスタイルのソロを三つ録り、それらを重ねたと回想している。掲載MVにも同じ処理があるかは未確認だ。

サンプルを探すだけでなく、吹いて録った音をどう扱ったかも、この曲を知る入口になる。まず映画用の版とアルバム版を分けて聴き、声の周りに何が置かれているかを比べてみたい。掲載MVがどのミックスに当たるかは、引き続き未確認だ。
