## マイクの前だけではなかった、Kaneの仕事。

「Ain’t No Half-Steppin’」を、Kaneのラップと他人の伴奏という二分法だけで見ると、本人の回想からこぼれるものがある。The Real Hip-Hopの取材でKaneは、デビュー作の音作りにも自ら関わり、この曲などではBiz Markieの助けを得たと話している。

これは正式な制作クレジットを書き換える話ではなく、Kane側から見た現場の役割分担だ。言葉を乗せる側にも、音を選び組み立てる視点があった。その証言を手がかりに、MCの声と伴奏が形になるまでを一緒に考えたい。
