A new song, made to go on a best-of.

"The Golden Path", released on 15 September 2003, was included on Singles 93–03. The Flaming Lips sing on it; it reached No. 17 in the UK; Chris Milk made the video.346

Adding a song nobody has heard to a collection of ten years of singles. I read it as refusing to let a look back be only a look back.

Twenty years later, in 2023, came Paused in Cosmic Reflection, a book looking back over their thirty years. Among those interviewed is Wayne Coyne of the Flaming Lips.7
